If so, BNI is for you! BNI sets up groups of business people with only one representative from each trade or profession in a group. These groups (called chapters) meet on a regular basis for only one purpose – for the members to pass each other business. BNI trains its chapters to be extremely effective at finding business for the members. BNI operates on the principle of 'Givers Gain' – if I find business for you, you will want to find business for me.

Networking requires commitment. The most successful chapters of BNI are comprised of participants who are sincerely committed to helping one another through networking. They are a team. BNI chapters provide a positive, supportive, and structured environment for men and women to develop their business through word of mouth recommendations and networking skills.

BNI Cuthbert meets each Wednesday morning at Mount Oswald Manor and Golf Course, South Road, Durham, DH1 3TQ, We gather from 6.30am for informal networking and the meeting runs from 7.00 - 8.30 with informal networking available again following the meeting.

 

Farming, not Hunting

Successful business networkers sow the seeds of long-term relationships and reap the benefit over time, while failed networkers spend their time chasing down their prey at networking events, with the business card as their weapon of choice.

By joining BNI Cuthbert you will acquire, not just a network but a sales force for less than the cost of a decent weekend conference.  Under pinning the success of BNI is the 1-2-1.  The 1-2-1 meeting is your opportunity to learn about your fellow members and how they will learn about your business.  By the end of a 1-2-1 you will have a better understanding of how you can help fellow members and how they can help you.  Successful members of BNI Cuthbert put effort into "farming" not hunting.
