Delivering the highest possible level of service and client satisfaction is immensely important to me as the director of Family Wills and I expect the same from all companies, personnel and organisations that I deal with.
Four years ago I was first asked to come to a BNI meeting. I was skeptical about it all; was it religious, could I get to the meetings, how much business would I get, would it be ‘for me’? It actually took 3 invites from 3 different people until I went to a meeting. However, I decided to sign up at that first meeting and had repaid my joining fees by the end of my first month.
I have now been a member for 4 years and at each renewal time I have reviewed where I am and whether it is the right decision to stay with BNI. Professionally, despite having worked within blue chip companies all of my corporate career, I feel it has helped me grow in so many ways, such as confidence, presentation skills, networking and maximizing a small business. Personally, I have had the opportunity to meet some wonderful and inspiring people through my chapter or through training meetings. But financially, BNI has been very successful for me; for each of the four years I have been involved I have averaged between £15k and £20k per year – every year just from BNI!
Therefore, at every level I would have no hesitation in recommending BNI to any SME and also in applying to renew as a member of Cuthbert chapter and sincerely hope that the committee accept my application.

TESTIMONIAL – Graham Courtney and Office Matters
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Graham Courtney and Office Matters for providing a service that has not just made the working day easier to manage, but has actually completely transformed our business in a very short time. As our Physiotherapy and Personal Training Clinic grew quickly, it became apparent that the ability to retrieve voice messages and return missed calls was becoming increasingly difficult. As a result we decided to use Office Matters for the Virtual Office Service, meaning I can divert phone calls whenever I am in the clinic. I created a specific message for all diverted calls to be answered with by Graham’s team, and chose the option of receiving emails via my i-Phone with a description of the taken call.
Not only do I receive the contact details of the potential client, but also enough details of the injury or enquiry that I am continually receiving compliments from my clients as to the professionalism of the business and my prior knowledge of the enquiry. Some clients have even requested I thank my “secretary” for their friendly and professional service, and when they attend the clinic seem to be confused as to where my able assistant is stationed!
For any business that does not have the ability to answer phone calls all the time and therefore risk losing clients, I can only re-iterate that Office Matters provides more than just a service. Graham’s team are now an integral part of our business set-up, and as administration is one of the more difficult parts to manage in our industry, it is one aspect that we know is under control no matter what.

TESTIMONIAL – Designs Unique
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Maccine and Graeme of Designs Unique for their work on a recent job for our business. Having used Designs Unique for previous projects, we already knew of their professionalism, high quality work, and competitive pricing. This particular project was the design and production of a banner stand to place within our clinic, but also to be used at promotional events and award ceremonies.
As Graeme had previously designed our leaflets, he used a similar theme for the banner but added some extra logos and wording to make it more informative and professional. The design and production was completed efficiently and quickly, allowing us to showcase the banner at recent events including a regional BNI day and the County Durham Sports Awards. Many positive comments have been made about the banner and we have had no hesitation recommending Designs Unique to others.

TESTIMONIAL – Lorne Campbell, More than Mortgages

My wife and I would like to personally thank Lorne Campbell, of More than Mortgages, for his exceptional service to organise our house mortgage recently. After our first meeting it was already apparent that it was going to be an interesting journey due to our unique personal circumstances, and of course the current situation with regards to banks and lending. The information Lorne asked us to give him allowed him to thoroughly investigate all possible avenues, and within days he had identified a number of extremely competitive deals for us. Following this, however, the journey had just begun as the stubborn banks required more assistance from Lorne to help with their “tick-box” systems that they currently use. At no stage did Lorne let them delay and his feedback to us throughout was frequent, allowing us to proceed with our house hunting as planned.
When we found the house we were looking for, Lorne liaised with the solicitors, bank and vendors and the final stage was as smooth as we could ever have imagined. The fact that I was travelling to Australia on the same day my wife picked up the keys further illustrated how Lorne had assisted us to complete even earlier than we had first envisaged when our offer was accepted.
Lorne provides professional, down to earth and knowledgeable service, and his experience in the mortgage arena was evident throughout. My wife is going to keep her promise of that nice big hug next time she sees him, because as every husband knows a happy wife makes a happy husband!

As we approached the dreaded annual renewal of our motor insurance, we asked Nigel Bradley from Lonsdale Insurance to provide us with a quote for the upcoming year. Within hours, Nigel had discovered that not only had we not been correctly insured with regards to our business use for the vehicle, but also that the level of insurance was not correct with our usage. The icing on the cake was that the quote provided by Nigel was significantly cheaper than that provided from our now-ex insurance company.
The process for setting up the new policy was quick, efficient and without a doubt the easiest we have ever experienced. It was nice not to have to deal with being on hold, answering security related questions just to speak with someone, and all the other annoyances that generally are associated with this kind of project.

Delivering the highest possible level of service and client satisfaction is immensely important to me as the director of Family Wills and I expect the same from all companies and personnel who I deal with.
Equally I expect the same standards to be delivered to my family. My daughters both perform sport to a very high level and have both succumbed to injuries over the past 18months. They were both treated by Neil Sleeman whose knowledge, treatment and advice cured their ailments. I also want to extol not just his expertise in his field but also his bedside manner, which is perfect for both adults and children alike; striking a wonderful balance of personal and professional and humour.
But more than that, his real unique selling point is his dedication to his clients. One of my daughters trains at a high performance gymnastics club in the region and I am aware of several children at that club where Neil has treated them but also gone well beyond his remit; establishing relations with consultants and surgeons to ensure that the child concerned receives the appropriate treatment at hospital level. This service exceeds any other physiotherapist I know.
